Leigh-Anne, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards were asked on Australian radio show Smallzy’s Surgery this week what their future plans are, which prompted a vague answer from the band.

The host asked the bandmates what their plans are, before adding: ‘Is that a question that collectively there’s no known answer for?’

After an awkward pause, Leigh-Anne replied: ‘Well, I mean, I just think Little Mix, ten years in, it’s something that can never really die.’ The vague response made Perrie and Jade start giggling.

Another point in the interview saw Jade insist the trio will remain close following next week’s release of their seventh album Between Us and after next spring’s tour, which rumours suggest will be their last commitment as a band.

She said: ‘No matter what in the future, we’ll always have each other. We’re a throuple, in this together.’

It’s been reported that all of Little Mix are planning solo careers after their tour ends next spring which could spark the end of the group.

Leigh-Anne , Perrie and Jade are all said to be eager to work on their own solo projects following former bandmate Jesy Nelson quitting the group last December.

According to The Sun, the group have been quietly negotiating new management and recording deals but may decide to go on an indefinite hiatus, rather than call time on the band for good.

A source said: ‘They’ve been pretty open with each other about it. There are a lot of meetings happening at the moment. Some of them have already done management deals.

‘Leigh-Anne has signed up with Dua Lipa’s manager, Jade is cutting her teeth as a songwriter and presenter while Perrie is working on other things too. They still get on great, despite everything which has happened with Jesy. But her departure put the cat among the pigeons.

‘They all know there will have to be a career beyond Little Mix, So they’ve put things in place. The plan is to see out commitments, then turn to solo projects almost immediately…

‘The intention is to keep the band going too, but that’s how One Direction ended and it’s hard to believe they will have time for everything.’

Meanwhile, Jesy Neson has admitted it’s ‘sad’ she doesn’t speak to Little Mix anymore after reports that she was embroiled in a feud with the band.

The singer, 30, told Graham Norton last month there’s ‘no bad blood’ between herself and ex-bandmates after the blackfishing controversy over her Boyz music video.

Speaking to Graham Norton on his show, Jesy said she ‘loved’ her time with Little Mix and ‘wishes them all the best,’ and said that after releasing her first solo single she’s hoping to record an album in 2022.

Asked about her departure from Little Mix, Jesy said: ‘We’re not talking any more. It is sad but honestly there is no bad blood from my side, and I still love them to pieces and genuinely wish them all the best.

‘I loved my time with them, and we’ve got the most incredible memories together, but it’s just one of those things which needs to take time, so who knows.

‘To me they are still the sickest girl band in the world.’
