The Bachelor’s Matty ‘J’ Johnson and Laura Byrne became the proud owners of a $1.87million home in Bangalow, near Byron Bay, earlier this year.

And Laura looked just like a local as she did a spot of shopping in Ballina on Friday.

The jewellery designer and podcaster purchased some items at a Rip Curl store.

On Friday, the pair were seen meeting with a real estate agent and posing for photos out the front of the ‘sold’ sign with their children, Marlie-Mae, two, and Lola, nine months.

It is believed the pair purchased the property back in September.

Their new pad has three bedrooms and two bathrooms and a two-car garage.

It also features hardwood floors, white high ceilings and a lush lawn.

The engaged couple appeared in high spirits as they closed the deal.

This week, the pair, who are based in Bondi Beach with their family, have been enjoying a stay at the Elements of Byron luxury resort.

Back in 2018, Laura revealed the pair were ‘saving really hard’ to buy their own home together.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, she said: ‘Currently, we’re trying really hard to save up so that we can buy a place of our own. That’s the next step in the coming months.’

‘I’ll get more say in the decor of the house we buy than where we rent. For us, we want to settle in our home first but we’re on the same page about getting married one day and having kids.’

The pair met on The Bachelor back in 2017, the fifth season, and became engaged in 2019.
