John Travolta’s daughter Ella Travolta is celebrating his birthday with a sweet message to her father.
Ella Travolta, 20, shared a photo of her, younger brother Benjamin, 10, and her dad on Instagram Friday and wished “the most incredible man I have ever known” a happy birthday.
“You are not only the best Dad ever, but you are also my best friend. Thank you for raising us, helping us and loving us and thank you for all of the good you do every day,” Ella Travolta captioned the post. “The world is so lucky to have you and so are we. I love you Daddy. I had the best time celebrating your birthday with you yesterday.”
John Travolta, who celebrated his 67th birthday Feb. 18, shared a video on his Instagram account Friday and thanked everyone for their “incredible” birthday wishes.
“And to also thank you for the 4.6 billion views of the hashtag the Scott Slide I can’t thank you enough, you guys support me in ways that I’d never imagined. So, I love you, thank you,” John Travolta said in the video referring to his Super Bowl ad for Scotts Miracle-Gro which also starred his daughter.
The star-studded ad with Martha Stewart, Emma Lovewell, Kyle Busch and Leslie Baker ended with John Travolta and Ella Travolta dancing.
It wasn’t the first time the daddy-daughter duo shared a dance.
In August 2020, John Travolta returned to social media for the first time since announcing his wife Kelly Preston’s death on July 13 to share a short video of him dancing with Ella Travolta.
“My daughter @ella.travolta and I dancing in memory of momma,” Travolta captioned the sweet video. “One of Kelly’s favorite things, dancing with me.”
This marks John Travolta’s first birthday without Preston who died at 57 after a private battle with breast cancer.
Travolta and Preston met while filming 1988’s “The Experts” and married in a midnight ceremony in Paris in 1991. The couple had three children: daughter Ella and sons Benjamin and Jett, the latter of whom died at age 16 after having a seizure while the family was on vacation in the Bahamas in January 2009.
