Former Olympian champion Greg Rutherford, 34, took to social media to reveal that he and his fiance have named their baby daughter Daphne. The retired athlete announced the arrival of his baby daughter with fiance Susie Verrill a couple of days ago but did not reveal her name or when exactly she was born. The athlete who already has Milo, six and Rex, three, with his partner, took to Instagram where he revealed that the new arrival was “stealing our hearts” in a sweet carousel post.
The Olympic athlete posted a sweet picture of him beaming down at the new arrival who he was holding in his arms.
He captioned the post: “Welcome to the world my darling Daphne.”
The retired track star went on to thank his 160,000 fans for their kind words.
“Thank you so much for your wonderful messages. We’re so happy she’s here and stealing our hearts.”

The mum-of-three had previously spoken about having a “long, tough” road ahead of her during her third pregnancy as she struggled with Hyperemesis gravidarum.
The NHS cites the condition as excessive nausea and vomiting which can often need hospital treatment.
In February the Olympic gold medalist took to Instagram to reveal that his fiance was in the hospital after the couple grew worried that their baby had stopped moving.
Greg explained that Susie realised she hadn’t felt the baby move in a while and decided to head to hospital where the staff thankfully could find the heartbeat.
