Fifi Box recalls the devastating moment she had to tell her daughter Trixie, eight, that her sister Jaimi Kenny had died
Fifi Box had the heartbreaking task of telling her eight-year-old Trixie that her older sister Jaimi Kenny had died.
On Saturday, the 44-year-old spoke to Stellar about telling her daughter the devastating news about the older half-sister she was ‘incredibly close’ with.
Jaimi was the eldest daughter of champion swimmer Lisa Curry and former Iron Man Grant Kenny, who is the father of Trixie.

Jaimi passed away in September 2020 after a battle with alcoholism and an eating disorder.
Fifi recalled to the publication: ‘Telling Trixie what had happened was really difficult.’
‘Losing Jaimi was devastating. We loved her so much, and she and Trixie were incredibly close.5’
She added: ‘Jaimi was such a beautiful, special soul. We miss her so much.’

Jaimi Kenny passed away on September 14 at Sunshine Coast University Hospital surrounded by her family, including both her Olympian mother and Ironman father.
The 33-year-old had been supported by her parents and siblings through many years of treatment at private clinic End ED, on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.
At the time the Curry-Kenny family confirmed Jaimi’s death with a public statement.

‘It is with a very heavy heart that Lisa and I confirm that our beautiful daughter Jaimi has lost her battle with a long-term illness and passed away peacefully in hospital this morning in the company of loving family,’ read a statement from Grant Kenny.
‘Jaimi will forever be remembered as a caring, bright and loving soul who always put others before herself.
‘Our hearts are broken and the pain is immense but we must move forward cherishing every wonderful moment we got to share with our treasured first child.’
