After quizzing Jake on his new play, which stars Lily Allen in her first acting role, Ben turned his attention to the jungle.
He asked: “Will you be finished in time to go in the jungle if the call comes in?”
“Yes I finish in mid-October,” Jake replied. “I’ve made no secret of the fact I’d love to do the jungle.”
“We were talking about it in the break Kate,” Max explained and Kate added: “And I said give it a go.”

Meanwhile, Jake opened up on returning to theatre after taking on a role in the new play 2:22 – A Ghost Story.
He said: “I started off in doing lots of theatre, so it’s a real delight for me to be back, probably 18 years since I’ve been on the stage.
“I’d forgotten how much I’d actually enjoy the process actually. So much of the job of an actor is the rehearsals and exploring the script and characters, and of course, on a soap or EastEnders, you don’t get any time to rehearse.
“I’ve not done that for so many years so I’m loving this period, we’re still in the rehearsal room, we open in about two weeks.
“But the whole process from beginning to end has been amazing and yeah, great cast and Lily Allen for me was really exciting.”
On working alongside pop star Lily, he said: “I’m excited for her to do it. She’s doing an amazing job so far.
“Hopefully, if we do it right it will be a wonderful spooky night in the theatre.
“There are certain things that happen during the show, I’m not going to give too much away, we’ve had specialists in, magic people.”
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! will return to ITV later this year.
