‘I was just sitting here thinking that three weeks ago this song didn’t even exist and I had no plans to put out a Christmas song, and now I’m in this position where the song is doing the most wild things.’

The single, which is available on Spotify, reached number No. 2 on the Australian Top 20 downloads and No. 5 on the iTunes Rock Chart.

Jessica went on to say that she feels people are ready to celebrate the festive season early following a stressful and ‘rubbish’ year.

‘You know with everything that’s been going on with COVID the fact that we can still get excited for Christmas is exciting,’ she said.

Speaking of Christmas, Jessica explained that she was most looking forward to reuniting with her family from Melbourne after closed borders kept them apart due to the pandemic.

‘I’m really excited to see my family from Melbourne,’ she said. ‘They are coming to visit and I just can’t wait to see them.’

Jessica continued: ‘I know my kids are really looking forward to seeing their cousins because until this point we’ve been having to imagine it’.

Braithwaite called for Celine Dion and Michael Jackson’s producer Stuart Brawley to mix her song.

The mega-music producer assembled an all-star cast including Glee and Disney singers and the drummer from ’80s pop-rock band Tears For Fears.

‘The one thing that really blew me away was the way in which all of the people involved kind of came together at the last minute to create the song,’ she said.
