Antonio Conte's strict request to Tottenham stars as new boss looks to stamp his authority


The Spaniard will likely be one of the key players in Conte’s squad, such is the importance of the wing-backs when it comes to the three man back line.

And the 24-year-old even spoke to a former teammate and Conte’s star man to gain as much insight into the fiery Italian as possible.

“I had a friend at Inter, Achraf Hakimi, and I spoke to him about the gaffer. He told me I will improve a lot under him and I want to do that as soon as possible.

“He told me I will have to work really, really hard but I will improve a lot. In one week, I can already see that.”

Conte will take charge of his first Premier League match at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium on the 21st November, where his Spurs side will face Leeds United.
